Debate for Democracy (DFD) is a non-profit, non-government, debate organization that seeks to develop the quality of life of current and future generations through debate. DFD beliefs that there could bring change in the society as well as in the young mind by providing right information about the issues that influence to take the decision. DFD consider debate as a tool of bringing change in the society by creating awareness on social, economic, political and development issues.

Mr. Hassan Ahamed Chowdhury Kiron is the Chairman of DFD. He was the founder secretary and President of Dhaka University Debating Society. He was also the Director of Bangladesh Television Debate program. He introduced English parliamentary debate in Bangladesh Television. Mr. Kiron was also the founder Chairman of National Debate Federation (NDF) and currently he is acting as the Moderator of NDF. Mr. Kiron has more than 25 years of experience in organizing, conducting, facilitating, moderating and presenting debate, the art of motivation. He has brought the debate very close to the policy makers, program managers, planners and researchers.

In Bangladesh, Debate for Democracy (DFD) has long experience in organizing debate competition on development issues having partnership with Gov agencies, UN Agencies and Civil Society Organizations. DFD has organized many programs on development issues with both government and non-government agencies.
